Whether you’re entertaining guests or simply treating yourself to a cosy night in, this Slow Cooker Baileys Chocolate Fudge recipe is the ultimate festive treat. Perfect for a festive movie night in or as a surprise for guests. It’s sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it!
Can I make fudge in the slow cooker?
Yes, making fudge in the slow cooker is incredibly easy. It gently melts the chocolate and combines all the ingredients without the risk of burning — ideal for beginners and festive bakes.
How long does fudge take to cook in the slow cooker?
Slow cooker fudge usually takes around 1–1.5 hours on low, stirred every 10–15 minutes to prevent sticking and ensure a smooth, glossy finish.
What kind of chocolate should I use for this recipe?
Use a combination of Terry’s Chocolate Orange for that festive twist and smooth orange flavour. You can also mix in milk and dark chocolate for richness.
Can I actually add Baileys to fudge?
Absolutely! Baileys Irish Cream adds a deliciously creamy, boozy flavour that pairs perfectly with chocolate. It’s a popular choice for festive or gift-worthy fudge.
Will the alcohol in Baileys cook off in the slow cooker?
Some of the alcohol may cook off slightly, but the flavour remains. It’s best served as a grown-up treat — not recommended for children due to the Baileys content.
How do I know when the fudge is ready?
Once the chocolate and condensed milk are melted, the mixture should be thick, smooth and glossy. It will set further in the fridge after being poured into a tray.
How long does it take for fudge to set?
Once poured into a lined tray, refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours (or overnight) until firm enough to slice into squares.
How should I store slow cooker Baileys fudge?
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. You can also freeze it if you want to make it ahead for Christmas.
Can I make this fudge alcohol-free?
Yes, just skip the Baileys or swap it for a little cream and vanilla extract. You’ll still get rich chocolate fudge with that Terry’s Chocolate Orange flavour.
Is this fudge suitable for gifting?
Definitely. This slow cooker Baileys fudge makes a lovely homemade gift. Wrap pieces in cellophane bags or festive tins for Christmas, birthdays, or party favours.

Method
Step 1
To start, combine condensed milk, milk chocolate, Terrys Chocolate Orange ball and a hint of Bailey’s Irish Cream in your slow cooker. Let the mixture cook on high for one hour.
Step 2
Once the fudge mixture is luxuriously smooth and velvety, transfer it to a lined tray and allow it to cool for a few hours. As it sets, the fudge will firm up, ready to be sliced into squares.
Ingredients
400g (14 oz) of milk chocolate
1 Terrys chocolate orange (or your favourite chocolate orange bar)
100ml (2/5 cup) of Baileys
1 can (14 oz) of condensed milk
1 Terrys chocolate orange to top (optional)
