Is this really a low calorie ice cream?
Yes! I make this as a low calorie ice cream using my Ninja Creami, and it comes in at around 180 calories per serving. It’s a great way for me to enjoy a dessert that still feels indulgent without being heavy or overly rich.
How much protein is in this high protein ice cream?
Each serving contains around 13g of protein, depending on the brand of protein powder I use. I like it because it feels like a proper dessert but still fits into my high protein ice cream recipes when I’m trying to hit my macros.
Do I need a Ninja Creami to make this recipe?
Yes, I use the Ninja Creami for this recipe because it gives that smooth, creamy ice cream texture. It’s one of my favourite Ninja Creami recipes because it turns simple ingredients into something that tastes like real ice cream.
Can I make this without a Ninja Creami?
You technically can freeze the mixture and blend it, but I find it doesn’t give the same texture. For the best results, I always recommend using the Ninja Creami for proper high protein ice cream consistency.
What does Biscoff ice cream taste like?
It tastes like a creamy, frozen version of classic Biscoff spread — sweet, spiced, and slightly caramelised. I love how it still feels like a treat even though it’s a low calorie ice cream recipe.
Can I make this ice cream healthier?
Yes, I already keep it fairly light by using skimmed milk and protein powder. If I want to make it even lower calorie, I reduce the Biscoff topping slightly, but I find this balance works best for a proper high protein dessert.
Can I meal prep this Ninja Creami ice cream?
Yes, I often batch prep the base and freeze it in advance. That way I’ve always got a low calorie ice cream ready to spin in the Ninja Creami when I want something sweet.
Why is my Ninja Creami ice cream crumbly?
If it comes out crumbly, I usually just add a splash of milk and re-spin it. That’s completely normal with Ninja Creami recipes, especially high protein ones, as they freeze quite firmly.
Can I add extra toppings?
Definitely. I like to top mine with melted Biscoff spread and crushed biscuits for extra flavour and texture. It turns it into a proper dessert while still being a low calorie high protein ice cream.
Is this good for weight loss or fitness goals?
I make this as part of a balanced approach — it’s a high protein ice cream that helps me stay on track while still enjoying dessert. Because it’s lower in calories and high in protein, it fits well into most calorie-controlled plans.
Method
Step 1
Add the milk and protein powder to a shaker (or blender) and mix until smooth.
Step 2
Pour into your Ninja Creami tub, stir through the melted Biscoff spread, then freeze for 24 hours.
Step 3
After 24 hours, remove from the freezer and spin on the ice cream setting. If the ice cream looks a little crumbly, just hit respin until smooth and creamy.
Step 4
Serve with a drizzle of melted Biscoff and a sprinkle of crushed biscuits. Divine.

450ml skimmed milk
30g vanilla protein powder
