What is Egg & Bacon Mayo?

I make this Egg & Bacon Mayo as a simple, high-protein lunch idea that’s perfect for meal prep. It’s a creamy mix of chopped boiled eggs, crispy bacon, and mayonnaise, usually seasoned with a little salt and pepper. It’s one of my favourite preppable lunch recipes because it’s quick, filling, and really satisfying.

Is Egg & Bacon Mayo good for meal prep?

Yes — I often use this as a meal prep lunch for the week. It keeps well in the fridge and can be made in advance in batches. I like to portion it into containers so I’ve got an easy grab-and-go lunch option ready to go for busy days.

How long does Egg & Bacon Mayo last in the fridge?

In my experience, Egg & Bacon Mayo lasts around 2–3 days in the fridge when stored in an airtight container. I always make sure it’s chilled quickly after preparing, as it’s a key part of keeping it fresh as a preppable lunch idea.

Can I make Egg & Bacon Mayo ahead of time?

Yes, I usually make it ahead of time because it’s designed to be a meal prep lunch recipe. I often boil the eggs and cook the bacon in advance, then mix everything together when I’m ready. It makes weekday lunches so much easier.

What can I eat Egg & Bacon Mayo with?

I typically eat it with toast, wraps, sandwiches, or crackers. It also works really well in a salad bowl for a lighter lunch meal prep option. Sometimes I even spoon it into lettuce wraps if I want something low-carb but still filling.

Is Egg & Bacon Mayo a healthy lunch option?

I would say it can be a balanced meal prep lunch, especially as it’s high in protein from the eggs and bacon. If I want to make it lighter, I sometimes use reduced-fat mayonnaise or add extra salad to bulk it out.

Can I store Egg & Bacon Mayo for meal prep lunches?

Yes, I store it in airtight containers in the fridge as part of my weekly meal prep lunches. I always keep it chilled and only take out what I need for the day to keep it fresh.

Can I customise Egg & Bacon Mayo?

Definitely. I often switch it up depending on what I’ve got in the fridge. Sometimes I add chives, mustard, paprika, or even a little grated cheese. It’s a really flexible preppable lunch recipe that works with lots of different flavours.

Is Egg & Bacon Mayo good for work lunches?

Yes, it’s one of my go-to work lunch meal prep ideas. I can make it the night before or at the start of the week, and it’s easy to pack in a container with bread or salad for a quick office lunch.

Why is Egg & Bacon Mayo good for meal prep?

I like it because it’s quick, budget-friendly, and really filling. It’s exactly the kind of easy preppable lunch recipe I rely on when I want something simple that still tastes good throughout the week.
