Air Fryer Hunters Chicken

This no fuss, sticky bacon and bbq coated chicken & potatoes is the one you need, all in one tray. Prep to plate in 25 minutes.

A delightful twist on a classic favourite that’s sure to become a staple in your kitchen. With the convenience of an air fryer, this recipe offers a quick and easy way to enjoy the rich flavours of hunters chicken without the need for lengthy cooking times or excessive oil.

 

Tender chicken breasts wrapped in crispy bacon, smothered in tangy BBQ sauce, and topped with gooey melted cheese – all cooked to perfection in the air fryer. Paired with perfectly seasoned baby potatoes (I’ve used @frylighthq to help crisp up those baby potatoes). A complete meal that will satisfy even the pickiest eaters! Method

Step 1

Rinse the baby potatoes and pat them dry. Cut them into halves or quarters for quicker cooking.

Step 2

Coat the potato pieces in Frylight cooking spray, then sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper for flavour. Place them in the air fryer basket and cook at 200°C for 5 minutes until they’re crispy on the outside.

Step 3

While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the bacon-wrapped chicken. Wrap each chicken breast with bacon slices and place them in the air fryer basket with the partially cooked potatoes. Cook for an additional 15 minutes at 200°C until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.

Step 4

Once the chicken and potatoes are cooked, remove them from the air fryer. Brush the chicken breasts with BBQ sauce and sprinkle grated cheese over them. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce for extra flavour. Return the chicken and potatoes to the air fryer and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 5

2 chicken breasts

Streaky bacon

700g baby potatoes halved

Frylight

4 tbsp BBQ sauce

2 handfuls of cheddar

1 tbsp paprika

Salt and pepper

1-2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Baking paper optional, just means less mess acts like a bit of a liner.
