Air Fryer Hot Dog Puffs

If you like hot dogs and you like sausage rolls, here is a recipe that combines them both. A tasty summer snack.

If you love hot dogs and sausage rolls, you’ll adore these Air Fryer Hot Dog Puffs. Crisp on the outside and saucy on the inside, these hot dog puffs are quick and easy to make in your air fryer. Ideal for family gatherings, picnics, or a fun weeknight treat, this recipe offers a delectable twist on classic comfort food.

What type of pastry should I use for hot dog puffs?

Ready-rolled puff pastry works best for this recipe. It’s convenient, easy to handle, and crisps up beautifully in the air fryer. Just make sure it’s chilled (not frozen) for the best results.

How long do hot dog puffs take in the air fryer?

Hot dog puffs usually take 8–10 minutes at 180°C in the air fryer. Cooking times can vary slightly depending on your air fryer model and the thickness of the pastry, so keep an eye on them until they’re golden and puffed up.

Are hot dog puffs a good option for summer snacks?

Absolutely. Hot dog puffs are a brilliant summer snack – they’re quick to make, easy to serve, and perfect for garden parties, picnics, or a no-fuss lunch for the kids. The air fryer keeps things cool in the kitchen, too!

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes – you can prep the hot dog puffs ahead of time and keep them in the fridge for up to 24 hours before air frying. Alternatively, cook them and reheat in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes to crisp them up again.

What can I serve with hot dog puffs?

They’re great on their own, but you can serve hot dog puffs with dips like ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, or even a spicy mayo for grown-ups. Pair them with crispy salad or air fryer chips for a more filling summer meal.
