Can you make beef and broccoli in an air fryer?
Yes. The beef cooks beautifully in the air fryer while the broccoli can be air fried alongside it or cooked separately. Toss everything together with the sauce before serving over rice or noodles.
What is the best beef for air fryer beef and broccoli?
Sirloin and beef steaks are the most popular choices because they’re lean, tender, and cook quickly when sliced thinly.
Can broccoli be cooked in the air fryer?
Absolutely. Broccoli becomes tender with crispy edges in the air fryer. Lightly coat it with oil and seasonings before cooking for the best texture.
How long does beef and broccoli take in the air fryer?
Most versions take around 10-12 minutes total, depending on the thickness of the beef and how small you cut the broccoli.
Why is my air fryer beef tough?
Overcooking is the most common cause. Thin slices cook quickly, so it’s important to monitor the cooking time closely and avoid leaving the beef in the air fryer too long.
Can I use frozen broccoli?
Yes. Frozen broccoli works well in the air fryer but may need a few extra minutes of cooking time. Shake the basket halfway through for even cooking.
Can I meal prep air fryer beef and broccoli?
Yes. It stores well in the fridge for up to four days and reheats easily in the microwave or air fryer, making it a great meal prep option.
Can I cook vegetables and beef together?
Yes, provided they have similar cooking times. Make sure the beef and the broccoli are cut into small chunks so that they cook evenly and quickly.
Why use the Ninja Crispi Pro for this recipe?
Its powerful air frying technology cooks the beef with beautifully browned edges while keeping it tender and juicy, and the broccoli comes out perfectly crisp-tender without turning soggy. Since it cooks with little oil, it’s a lighter alternative to stir-frying, and the fast cooking time makes it ideal for busy weeknights. Plus, everything can be cooked in the same glass dish, making cleanup simple and helping you get dinner on the table in under 15 minutes.
