Air Fryer Honey Feta Cubes are absolutely stunning and my twist on a dish that I order in a local restaurant. They taste sensational and, trust me, if you make these for visitors or for a party they will be one of the first things to be demolished.
Can you air fry feta cheese?
Yes, feta holds its shape well and becomes beautifully golden and slightly soft in the air fryer. These Air Fryer Honey Feta Cubes get crisp on the outside while staying creamy on the inside — perfect for a unique party snack.
How long do I cook feta cubes in the air fryer?
Cook the feta cubes at 200°C (392°F) for 10–12 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Make sure to lightly coat them in oil or breadcrumbs to help achieve that gorgeous texture.
Can I use low-fat feta for this recipe?
You can, but regular Greek-style feta gives the best flavour and texture when air-fried. Low-fat versions may not crisp up as nicely and can become more crumbly.
What’s the best way to serve air fryer honey feta cubes?
Drizzle with honey and a sprinkle of chilli flakes, sesame seeds, or fresh herbs just before serving. Serve on a platter as a finger food or party appetiser — trust me, they’ll disappear fast!
Can I make air fryer feta cubes in advance?
They’re best served fresh, but you can prep them ahead, then reheat for 2–3 minutes in the air fryer just before serving. The honey drizzle should go on at the last minute for maximum flavour.
Do I need to coat the feta cubes in breadcrumbs?
Breadcrumbs help make them crispier, but you can also use cornflour or plain flour for a lighter crust. For extra crunch, try panko.
What other flavours pair well with feta in the air fryer?
Try tossing the cubes in a bit of paprika, oregano, or even lemon zest before air frying. The saltiness of feta works beautifully with sweet or spicy toppings.
Are these honey feta cubes vegetarian?
Yes, they’re vegetarian-friendly as long as your feta is made without animal rennet (most supermarket brands now are). Always check the label if you’re unsure.
What should I serve alongside air fryer honey feta cubes?
They’re great as part of a party grazing board, or paired with flatbreads, olives, hummus, or a crisp salad.
Can I use another type of cheese instead of feta?
Halloumi is a good alternative, but feta has that perfect salty tang and texture for this dish. Stick to firm, dry cheeses if you want to experiment.
