You should definitely try making this Air Fryer Spicy Chicken Burger because it’s a quick, easy, and flavour-packed meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings. Plus, you can easily customise the toppings to suit your taste, making it a versatile choice for any occasion.

Is This Recipe Low Calorie/ Slimming World Friendly?

Yes, this Air Fryer Spicy Chicken Burger can be made low-calorie and Slimming World friendly with a few simple adjustments. By using lean chicken breast and minimal oil for cooking, you can significantly reduce the calorie count compared to traditional fried burgers. Additionally, you can use wholemeal buns or lettuce wraps instead of regular burger buns to keep it healthier. For those following Slimming World, you can count the chicken as a healthy extra ‘B’ choice if you use wholemeal bread, making this dish both satisfying and aligned with your dietary goals.

What If I Don’t Like Spice?

If you’re not a fan of spicy food, you can still enjoy this chicken burger by adjusting the seasoning. Simply reduce or omit the amount of chilli powder or hot sauce used in the recipe. You can also substitute with milder seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, or Italian herbs for flavour without the heat. Additionally, consider using a creamy dressing or sauce, such as ranch or garlic mayo, to balance out the flavours and add richness without adding spice.

Are These Burgers Suitable For Freezing?

Yes, these spicy chicken burgers are suitable for freezing. To freeze them, allow the cooked burgers to cool completely and then place them in an airtight container or freezer bag. They can be stored in the freezer for up to three months. When you’re ready to enjoy them, simply thaw in the fridge overnight and reheat in the air fryer until heated through and crispy again.
