Method

Step 1

To make this super easy air fryer recipe, simply put your chicken thighs in a bowl and coat in sesame oil, Chinese 5 spice, dark soy sauce, garlic puree and honey.

Step 2

Once you coat your chicken in all the seasonings, pop your chicken thighs in the air fryer at 180°C (355°F) for 12 minutes.

Step 3

Once cooked, baste your chicken in your honey soy sauce and cook for another 2 minutes (or until nice and crispy)

Step 4

In a bowl, plate up your rice, pickled onion and edamame beans, cut your chicken thighs into small pieces and serve on the rice along with some crispy onions and more soy sauce.

400g (14 oz) chicken thighs

1 packet of microwavable basmati rice

Handful of edamame beans

Handful of pickled red onion

Handful of crispy onions

Coat your chicken in: 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice, 1 tsp dark soy sauce, 1 tsp garlic puree and 1 tsp honey

Baste your chicken in: 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp soy sauce
