What type of chicken works best for chicken wraps?
Chicken breast works really well for these air fryer chicken wraps as it stays juicy and cooks quickly. You can also use boneless chicken thighs if you prefer a richer flavour.
How long do I cook chicken in the air fryer?
For these garlic parmesan chicken wraps, cook the chicken in the air fryer at 200°C for 17–18 minutes, or until fully cooked and golden on the outside.
Can I use shop-bought garlic parmesan sauce?
You can, but homemade garlic parmesan sauce gives these chicken wraps the best flavour and only takes a few minutes to make.
What can I serve with chicken wraps?
These air fryer chicken wraps go perfectly with chips, sweet potato fries, salad or corn on the cob for an easy lunch or family dinner.
Can I make these garlic parmesan chicken wraps healthier?
Yes. Use low-fat yoghurt or light mayonnaise in the garlic parmesan sauce and serve the chicken wraps with plenty of salad for a lighter option.
Can I reheat the chicken in the air fryer?
Absolutely. Reheat the chicken in the air fryer at 180°C for 3–4 minutes until hot through. This helps keep the chicken crispy and juicy.
What wraps work best for chicken wraps?
Large flour tortillas work best as they’re easy to fold and hold all the filling. You can also use wholemeal wraps for extra fibre.
Can I add extra toppings?
Definitely. Crispy lettuce, red onion, tomatoes and extra parmesan all work really well in these air fryer garlic parmesan chicken wraps.
Why cook chicken wraps in the air fryer?
Using the air fryer keeps the chicken juicy inside whilst giving it a crispy, golden coating without needing lots of oil. It’s also quicker and easier than oven cooking.
Method
Step 1
Add all the chicken ingredients to a bowl and mix well until evenly coated. Leave to marinate for a few hours if you have time, but if not, it’ll still taste great.
Step 2
Cook the chicken in the air fryer at 200°C for 17–18 minutes, turning halfway through if needed.
Step 3
While the chicken cooks, prepare the sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients together until smooth and combined.
Step 4
Once the chicken is cooked through, load it into your wraps with lettuce and drizzle over the sauce. Serve immediately.
