I am happy to confess I have had an entire garlic baguette on my own. If you have one that is stale or going off then here is a perfect rustle up (all done in the air fryer!)
Why Make Garlic Bread in the Air Fryer?
Let me tell you, whipping up garlic bread in the air fryer is a game changer. This method cooks your garlic bread to perfection in under five minutes—yes, you read that right! Forget about waiting for the oven to preheat and the lengthy cooking times; the air fryer heats up almost instantly, making it a breeze to prepare this delicious side dish. It’s the ideal solution for those busy weeknights or last-minute dinner plans when you want something tasty without all the fuss.
The Perks of Homemade Garlic Bread
There’s something truly special about homemade garlic bread that store-bought just can’t compete with. When you make it yourself, you’re in complete control of the ingredients. That means real butter and fresh garlic, rather than processed alternatives. This not only amps up the flavour but also lets you decide just how garlicky you want your bread to be. Plus, you can get creative by adding different cheeses or herbs to give it your own personal twist. While shop-bought garlic bread might save you a few pennies, nothing beats the freshness and taste of a homemade version.
How to Make Garlic Bread in the Air Fryer
Making garlic bread in your air fryer couldn’t be simpler. Start by mixing up a delicious garlic butter spread using crushed garlic, softened butter, and your choice of herbs. Generously slather this mixture over slices of ciabatta or baguette, then pop them in the air fryer for just 3 to 5 minutes until they’re golden brown and crispy. This method ensures that each slice is perfectly toasted on the outside while remaining soft and fluffy inside—absolute perfection.
What Bread Works Best for Air Fryer Garlic Bread?
When it comes to choosing the right bread for your air fryer garlic bread, ciabatta is a fantastic option thanks to its airy texture that crisps up beautifully. Baguettes are another classic choice if you’re after that traditional garlic bread experience. Got some slightly stale bread lying around? Don’t toss it! It’s actually perfect for this recipe as it’ll yield an even crispier finish. Fresh bread will give you that lovely soft interior while still achieving that satisfying crunch on the outside.
Ingredients for Air Fryer Garlic Bread
To whip up this easy air fryer garlic bread, you’ll need just a handful of simple ingredients: slices of ciabatta or your preferred bread, salted butter, fresh garlic cloves, dried parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese. These ingredients come together to create a flavour-packed side dish that pairs beautifully with any pasta dish.
