Chopped Caesar Salad Bagels are a fresh take on a classic lunch – crunchy chopped salad tossed in a creamy Caesar dressing, packed into a soft bagel. It’s a satisfying, portable option for quick lunch recipes.

Can I make this recipe in advance?

Yes, you can prepare the Caesar chopped salad ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to a day. For best results, assemble the bagels just before serving to avoid sogginess.

What’s in a Caesar chopped salad?

A classic Caesar chopped salad usually includes chopped lettuce (like romaine or cos), croutons, parmesan cheese, and a creamy Caesar dressing. You can also add grilled chicken or crispy bacon for extra protein.

Can I use any type of bagel for this recipe?

Absolutely – plain, sesame, or wholemeal bagels all work well. For extra flavour, try garlic or sourdough-style bagels.

Chopped Caesar Salad Bagels 🥯 I’m jumping on the chopped salad trend, and let’s just say I’m obsessed. Should I make more chopped salads? Let me know in the comments 🤔 Ingredients: * 3-4 bagels * 2 cooked chicken breasts * 1 packet of cooked bacon * Sweet gem lettuce * 1 tbsp Parmesan  For the Caesar dressing use shop bought, or mix together: * 2 tbsp garlic mayo  * Juice of half a lemon * 1 tsp Dijon mustard * 1 tsp Worchester sauce  * Salt and pepper  Method: 1. Using a Mezzaluna, chop your lettuce, chicken, bacon together  2. Once chopped, take 3 tbsp of Caesar dressing, salt and pepper and parmesan and start mixing the salad together using the mezzaluna (a spoon would work too) 3. Slice your bagels in half and pop your mixture on top of the bagel  4. Wrap your bagels in some foil. They should keep for 3 days and be sure to store in the fridge.  Enjoy #choppedsalad #trend #salad #caesarsalad #summersalad #bagel #bagels #mealprep #lunch #lunchideas #boredoflunch #summer #explorepageready #explorepages #summer2024 #summer24 #foodjournal #summereats

Is this recipe vegetarian?

Yes – simply leave out any bacon or anchovy-based Caesar dressings. Use a vegetarian-friendly Caesar dressing and cheese alternative if needed.

How can I keep the bagel from going soggy?

Toast the bagel lightly before assembling, and consider adding a layer of lettuce or cheese to act as a moisture barrier between the salad and bread.

What can I serve with chopped Caesar salad bagels?

They’re great on their own, but pair well with crisps, veggie sticks, or soup for a fuller meal. Ideal for packed lunches or meal prep.

Can I make this recipe lighter?

Yes – opt for a low-fat Caesar dressing, skip the croutons, or use a thin bagel to reduce the calorie content without compromising flavour.

Is this suitable for kids or picky eaters?

Definitely – keep the salad simple or adjust the ingredients to their liking. It’s a tasty, healthy alternative to standard sandwiches.

Can I make it gluten-free?

Yes – just use a gluten-free bagel and ensure the dressing and croutons (if used) are certified gluten-free.
