The combination of garlic, cheese, and your choice of toppings creates a deliciously satisfying meal or snack that can be enjoyed any time of day. Plus, it’s versatile; you can customise it with various ingredients to suit your taste preferences or dietary needs. Is This Low Calorie/Slimming World Friendly?

Yes, this Air Fryer Garlic Pizza Wrap can be made low-calorie and Slimming World friendly with a few simple adjustments. By using whole wheat tortillas instead of regular ones, you can reduce the calorie count while adding extra fibre. Opting for reduced-fat cheese or using less cheese overall will also help keep the calories in check. Additionally, incorporating plenty of vegetables as toppings not only boosts the nutritional value but also adds volume without significantly increasing calories. For those following Slimming World, you can count the wrap as your healthy extra ‘B’ choice if you use whole wheat tortillas, making this dish both satisfying and aligned with your dietary goals.

I don’t have tortilla wraps – what else can I use?

Consider using pitta bread for a quick and easy base that crisps up beautifully in the air fryer. Naan is another fantastic option, offering a soft and chewy texture that pairs well with various toppings. For a flaky and indulgent twist, try puff pastry; it adds a delightful crunch and buttery flavour to your pizza. Lastly, polenta can be cooked and set to create a unique, gluten-free pizza base that’s both hearty and delicious. These alternatives not only save time but also allow you to experiment with different flavours and textures.

Tasty Tips For Making Air Fryer Garlic Pizza Wraps

First, make sure your butter is at room temperature before mixing it with garlic and herbs; this will make it easier to spread evenly across the wrap. If you’re cooking both single-layer and double-layer wraps at the same time, remember that the double layer will take about an extra 5 minutes to cook through. For an extra crispy base, remove the baking tray from under the tortillas during cooking and place it on a lower shelf in the air fryer. This allows hot air to circulate more effectively around the base. After removing the wrap from the air fryer, wait about 1 minute before slicing; this will allow the cheese to settle and prevent it from sliding off.
