Juicy, flavourful kofta kebabs are not only easy to make but also family-friendly. Prepare the mix in advance, and you’ll have a delicious, restaurant-style dinner ready in just 10 minutes using your air fryer. Customise these koftas with your favoUrite meat and a homemade spice blend to suit your taste.

Where do kebabs come from?

Kebabs or meatballs are beloved in various forms across the globe, each country adding its unique twist. I’m a firm believer that there’s no such thing as too much grilled, spiced meat. These Greek meatballs are the perfect example, they are so versatile and can be cooked as meatballs, added to a skewer or even flattened to become a tasty burger.

Method

Step 1

Start by grating the red onion and chopping the parsley. Add to a bowl with your mince, then add the egg, breadcrumbs and mix until well combined.

Step 2

Take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll into meatballs. You should get about 12-14 from the mixture. I then popped the meatballs onto metal skewers and rolled into a kofta shape.

Step 3

Pop your kofta skewers into the air fryer and cook for 12 minutes at 180°C (355°F).

Step 4

Once cooked, serve with some flatbreads, tzatziki, red onion and some lettuce. Sprinkle over some coriander and enjoy 🙂
