Step 1

Place all the ingredients in the slow cooker and stir. Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 4–5 hours. Garnish with spring onions.

700g (1 lb 9 oz) boneless pork shoulder, thinly sliced

1 onion, thinly sliced

3 tbsp gochujang chilli paste

1 tbsp sesame oil

4 tbsp ketchup

6 tbsp soy sauce

100ml (2/5 cups) chicken stock

1 tbsp hoisin sauce

2 tbsp honey

5 garlic cloves, crushed

1 tsp ground ginger

2 tbsp Chinese rice wine

1 tbsp cornflour, mixed to a paste with 1 tbsp water

Sliced spring onions, to garnish
