Air Fryer Stuffed-Crust Meat Feast Pizza
Let me tell you, I know my stuff when it comes to pizza. I’ve been on several pizza pilgrimages to Italy and New York – I think I’ve tried every slice in NYC. However, sometimes you need a healthier fix to pull you out of a pizza-craving hole, and this is it. I like to serve this with garlic mayo.

Can I cook homemade pizza in the air fryer?
The air fryer is perfect for homemade pizza. It cooks quickly, gives a crisp base, and melts the cheese perfectly… just make sure your pizza fits in the basket.
How long does it take to cook pizza in the air fryer?
Most homemade pizzas cook in 6–10 minutes at around 180-200°C, depending on your air fryer and how thick your crust is.
Can I make the stuffed crust without mozzarella sticks?
Absolutely. You can use grated mozzarella, cheese strings, or even a light cheese alternative to keep it lower in calories.
What toppings work best for a meat feast pizza?
Try a mix of pepperoni, cooked chicken, ham, and lean mince. You can use whatever you have in the fridge (it’s great for using up leftovers!)
Can I make it healthier?
Go lighter on the cheese, use lean meats, and add some veg like peppers or mushrooms for extra goodness. It’s still a tasty fakeaway, just a bit lighter.
Can I freeze the pizza?
You can freeze it before cooking. Just add your toppings, wrap it well, and air fry straight from frozen when you’re ready to eat.
Do I need to preheat the air fryer?
It’s best to preheat for 2–3 minutes so your pizza cooks evenly and gets a crisp crust.
Can I make this without a stuffed crust?
Of course… skip the cheese in the crust and just make a classic homemade pizza instead.

Method
Step 1
Combine all the dough ingredients in a mixing bowl and bring together into a dough. Tip out onto a floured surface and knead for a few minutes until smooth, then divide into two balls. Roll out with a rolling pin to circles around 15cm wide.
Step 2
Spread a thin line of tomato purée around the edge of each pizza that will be the crust, add in your mini mozzarella along that edge, then roll over the dough all along the edge to seal it in and create the stuffed crust.
Step 3
Line the base of the air fryer with baking paper, add your pizza bases and air-fry at 190°C for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Add your marinara/pizza sauce, the sausage chunks, cheese and oregano to the middle of each pizza.
Step 5
Remove the pizza bases from the air fryer and start to top your pizza. Return the pizzas to the air fryer and air-fry at 190°C for 10–12 minutes. Scatter over the pepperoni carefully, then air-fry at 190°C for another 5 minutes – this stops the pepperoni from burning. Serve hot!
