DIFFICULTY
simple
This is such a fan-favourite pudding and it couldn’t be any easier to make. No one will believe you’ve cooked it in a slow cooker and the sponge is really airy and light. The star of the show here is definitely the gooey sauce.
Method
Step 1
Firstly, grease your slow cooker with some butter.
Step 2
Sift your flour and cocoa powder into a large bowl, and add 150g of your brown sugar, 4 eggs and 100g melted butter. Mix using whisk until well combined. Add 3-4 tbsp of water to help loosen the consistency.
Step 3
Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker and add 100g of Terry’s chocolate orange pieces inside the mixture.
Step 4
Melt the remaining 57g of chocolate and mix with the remaining 150g of sugar and 275ml of boiling water in a jug. Pour the chocolate liquid all over the cake, cover the slow cooker with a clean tea towel and place on the lid, then cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4-5 hours.
Step 5
You can add more Terry’s Chocolate Orange for decoration. Serve hot (and with ice cream!)
