Frequently Asked Questions for slow cooker pulled pork
Can I use a different cut of pork?
Pork shoulder or pork butt is ideal due to its fat content and flavour, but pork loin can be used for a leaner version—just be aware it won’t be quite as juicy.
Can I freeze pulled pork?
Yes! This dish is perfect for batch cooking. Store cooled, shredded pork in an airtight container and freeze for up to 3 months.
Can I make this ahead of time?
Absolutely. Pulled pork often tastes even better the next day. Reheat gently in the microwave or on the hob, adding a splash of extra BBQ sauce if needed.
