This slow cooker bolognese is one of my favourite dishes to make in the slow cooker / crockpot. The bolognese itself is 245 calories per portion, and if you choose to add 200g of pasta it’s an extra 262 calories – making it a satisfying meal that won’t derail your healthy eating goals.
Why Make Bolognese In The Slow Cooker / Crockpot?
One of the best things about this lean spaghetti bolognese is its incredible flavour level (x100 in my opinion🔥). While browning the mince is optional, I personally find that taking this extra step enhances the overall taste of the dish. The longer cooking time allows the flavours to meld beautifully, resulting in a bolognese that’s truly irresistible!!! I’m not a fan of supermarket pasta sauce jars, as they often lack depth and richness. With this recipe, all the ingredients are fresh and wholesome, ensuring that you know exactly what’s going into your meal. Plus, there’s no oil or added sugar, making it a healthier choice for you and your family. For a step by step video demonstration, you can check my TikTok page:
