What cut of steak is best for air fryer steak bites?

For the most tender air fryer steak bites, use cuts like sirloin, ribeye, or fillet. These cook quickly and stay juicy without needing much marinade time.

Can I make Honey Chipotle Steak Bites in the air fryer?

Yes. Cook at 200°C (400°F) for 6-8 minutes, shaking halfway through. The air fryer gives the steak bites a caramelised, crispy edge while keeping them tender inside.

What should I serve with Air Fryer Honey Chipotle Steak Bites?

They’re perfect in rice bowls, tacos, wraps, or with a simple salad. For a balanced meal, serve with rice, avocado, salsa, and a drizzle of sour cream or chipotle mayo.

Can I make them ahead of time?

Absolutely! Marinate the steak in the honey chipotle glaze for up to 24 hours in the fridge. Cook just before serving for the best flavour and texture.

How spicy are these steak bites?

They have a mild to medium heat, depending on how much chipotle you add. Adjust the spice level to suit your taste by adding more or less chipotle paste.

Is this a good recipe for meal prep?

Honey Chipotle Steak Bites are perfect for meal prep, making busy weekdays a breeze. Marinate the steak in the honey chipotle glaze up to 24 hours in advance to lock in flavour and save time. Portion the cooked steak bites into airtight containers with rice, veggies, or salad for an easy grab-and-go lunch. Once cooked, the steak bites will keep fresh in the fridge for up to 3 days – simply reheat in the air fryer at 180°C (350°F) for 3-4 minutes or in the microwave until piping hot.

For longer storage, the marinated, uncooked steak bites can be frozen for up to 3 months – just defrost overnight in the fridge before cooking. Cooked steak bites can also be frozen once cooled, then reheated straight from frozen in the air fryer or oven. These steak bites are a great high-protein option to have on hand, whether you’re planning meals ahead or need something quick and delicious
