When the sun’s shining, there’s nothing better than a cold treat to help you cool off – and for most of us, that means ice cream. The only downside? All the sugar and calories that come with it. But what if you could enjoy the same indulgent vibes without the guilt? Enter these healthy peanut butter and chocolate ice lollies. Absolutely deeeelicious.

Are these Peanut Butter & Chocolate Magnums healthier than shop-bought ones?

Yes – these homemade Magnums are made with simple ingredients like Greek yoghurt, peanut butter, and dark chocolate, with no refined sugar. They’re a great healthy ice cream alternative that still tastes indulgent but contains less fat and sugar than traditional store-bought options.

What do I need to make homemade Magnums?

To make these homemade Magnums, you’ll need silicone ice cream moulds, a mixing bowl, and a freezer. The ingredients include natural peanut butter, Greek yoghurt, a touch of honey or maple syrup, and melted dark chocolate for the coating.

Can I make these healthy ice lollies dairy-free?

Yes – simply use a dairy-free yoghurt like coconut or almond-based yoghurt and choose a dairy-free dark chocolate. This makes them suitable for vegan diets too, depending on the sweetener used.

How long do homemade healthy Magnums take to freeze?

They usually take 4–6 hours to fully freeze, or ideally overnight. Make sure they’re completely set before dipping them in the chocolate coating to avoid melting.

Do I need moulds to make these ice lollies?

While ice cream moulds help give the classic Magnum shape, you can also use silicone cupcake moulds, small tubs, or even paper cups with lollipop sticks if needed. The result will still be a delicious healthy ice lolly.

How should I store homemade Magnums?

Once frozen, transfer them to an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Layer with parchment paper if stacking to stop them sticking together.
