Air Fryer Pea Toast
This is a trend I’m glad I came across. Instead of avocado toast you need to try this high protein creamy pea pesto made using peas and Philadelphia plant based. Perfect for a veganuary brunch or lunch!

Air Fryer Pea Toast is a simple yet flavourful dish that has quickly become a popular snack or light meal, especially for those seeking a quick, healthy bite. Made with toasted bread topped with a vibrant pea spread, it’s a nutritious combination that’s perfect for any time of the day. The air fryer brings an added crispness to the bread, making this dish even more delicious. Whether you’re craving something plant-based or looking for an easy, satisfying snack, air fryer pea toast is an ideal choice. It’s a light and fresh meal packed with protein from the peas, and it’s so easy to make in the air fryer.
What is Pea Toast?
Pea toast is essentially a piece of toasted bread topped with a pea mash or spread. The peas are usually blended with a few simple ingredients like garlic, lemon, olive oil, and seasonings to create a creamy, savoury topping. The combination of the crispy toast with the smooth, flavourful pea spread makes for a satisfying and healthy snack or meal option.
Can I Use Cream Cheese Instead of Plant-Based Philadelphia?
Yes, you can definitely substitute cream cheese for plant-based Philadelphia if you’re not following a plant-based diet. The texture and richness of regular cream cheese will still provide that creamy, indulgent base for the peas, although it will alter the dish’s vegan-friendly status. If you’re looking for a non-dairy option, plant-based Philadelphia or other plant-based cream cheeses are a great way to keep the dish fully plant-based.
