I always make halloumi on toast (usually with bacon, avocado etc) but did you know you can grate halloumi, mix it with some egg and spices?! It is super easy to make, and cooks so well in the air fryer. But here’s where it gets fun: you can customise it with your favourite toppings! Add creamy avocado, hot honey, sweet chilli, or chilli jam. Whether it’s for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner, halloumi toast is a tasty and satisfying option. Method

Step 1

Grate 80g halloumi cheese and add to a bowl with one large egg and some black pepper. I also added some honey chilli sauce to the mixture as well. This sauce is super easy to make, simply mix honey with some chilli oil.

Step 2

Slice some sourdough and add your mixture on top of the bread. Air fry at 180 for 8 minutes.

Step 3

Once the halloumi toast is cooked, drizzle over more of your dressing and get stuck in.

80g halloumi cheese  

1 large egg  

Black pepper

2 slices of sourdough

2 tbsp honey 

2 tbsp chilli oil (I used The Woolf’s Kitchen Chilli Crunch)
