Who doesn’t love halloumi. With only three ingredients, these air fryer halloumi hash brown bites are super easy to make and taste amazing. I served them with some hot honey, but you could also dip them into chilli jam for a nice kick. Method
Step 1
Place the potatoes (skin on) in a pot of boiling water. Let them cook for about 10 minutes to soften them slightly. They should be tender enough to poke with a fork but not too soft, as they need to stay firm for grating later.
Step 2
Once fork tender, drain the potatoes and leave them to cool. Then grate them using the coarse side of a grater. Likewise, grate the halloumi.
Step 3
To a bowl, add the grated halloumi, potatoes, cornflour and season to taste (I used salt and pepper but you can use whatever spices you like). Mix well with your hands until all the ingredients are well combined.
Step 4
Make balls of approximately 30g by rolling the mix with the palms of your hands. Transfer to your air fryer and brush some olive oil or rapeseed oil over each hash brown bite.
Step 5
Air fry the halloumi hashbrown bites for approximately 12 minutes at 180 or until nice and golden.
Step 6
Serve with some hot honey or chilli jam and get stuck in.
