Gnocchi carbonara made in the air fryer is a game-changer!! This dish combines the pillowy softness of gnocchi with the rich, creamy flavours of carbonara sauce, all prepared effortlessly in your air fryer.

Can you cook gnocchi in the air fryer?

Yes. Air fryer gnocchi turns out beautifully crispy on the outside and soft inside, making it perfect for a twist on traditional pasta dishes like carbonara.

Do I need to boil the gnocchi before air frying?

No, there’s no need to pre-boil. Just coat your gnocchi in a little oil and air fry until golden – it saves time and keeps the texture just right for this air fryer carbonara.

What temperature and time is best for air frying gnocchi?

Air fry at 200°C for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through. The gnocchi should be crispy and lightly golden.

How do I make the carbonara sauce?

A classic carbonara sauce is made using eggs, grated parmesan, and crispy bacon or pancetta. There’s no cream – the sauce becomes silky by mixing with the heat of the gnocchi.
