What is a crookie?
A crookie is the ultimate dessert mashup â a cross between a croissant and a cookie. It combines flaky, buttery pastry with gooey cookie dough for the perfect sweet treat. Baking it in the air fryer gives it a crisp outside and soft, melty centre.
Can you cook crookies in the air fryer?
Yes, air fryers are ideal for making crookies. They cook quickly, evenly, and help create that lovely golden finish without needing to turn on the oven. Itâs one of the easiest ways to make a bakery-style treat at home.

What cookie dough is best to use in a crookie?
You can use ready-to-eat cookie dough (I use the pre made cookie dough from M&S) or feel free to make your own cookie dough. Chocolate chip is a classic choice, but feel free to experiment with double chocolate, Biscoff, or even peanut butter cookie dough.
Can I use ready-made croissants?
Yes â shop-bought croissants work perfectly for this air fryer crookie recipe. You can also use croissant dough if you’d like to bake them from scratch in the air fryer.
How long do I cook crookies in the air fryer?
Crookies typically cook in the air fryer at 180°C for about 6â8 minutes, depending on your air fryer model and the thickness of the croissant. Keep an eye on them â they should be golden on the outside and slightly gooey inside.
Are crookies suitable for kids?
Absolutely â crookies are fun, easy, and a hit with kids and adults alike. You can even let little ones help assemble them as a weekend treat.
Can I make them ahead of time?
You can assemble your crookies ahead of time and keep them in the fridge for up to a day before air frying. Theyâre best enjoyed fresh and warm, so cook just before serving.
