Air Fryer Almond Croissant Baked Oats
- Category: Popular |
I absolutely love an almond croissant, but they are so hard to make and often, really high and calories. These baked oats are the next best thing and have healthier ingredients too.

What are almond croissant baked oats?
Almond croissant baked oats are a baked oatmeal recipe inspired by the flavours of an almond croissant. They typically include oats, almond extract, ground almonds, flaked almonds and a creamy base, creating a soft, cake-like texture similar to a bakery-style breakfast.
Can I make almond croissant baked oats in the air fryer?
Yes, almond croissant baked oats work really well as air fryer baked oats. Simply bake in a heatproof dish at 160–170°C for around 12–15 minutes, depending on the depth of your dish. The air fryer gives a lightly crisp top while keeping the centre soft.
What temperature should I use for air fryer baked oats?
For air fryer baked oats in the UK, set your air fryer to 160°C (fan). This prevents the oats from drying out while still allowing them to bake evenly.
Can I bake almond croissant baked oats in the oven instead?
Absolutely. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (160°C fan) for 20–25 minutes until set but still slightly soft in the centre.
Do baked oats taste like cake?
Yes, baked oats—especially almond croissant baked oats—have a texture very similar to cake or baked pudding. The almond flavour and creamy base make them feel indulgent while still being made from simple breakfast ingredients.
Are almond croissant baked oats healthy?
Almond croissant baked oats can be a balanced breakfast depending on ingredients. Oats provide fibre, almonds add healthy fats, and you can reduce sugar or use maple syrup or honey for a lighter option. They’re more filling than a standard croissant while delivering similar flavours.
Can I make this recipe dairy-free?
Yes. Use almond milk or oat milk and a dairy-free yoghurt or cream alternative. The almond flavour works particularly well with plant-based milks.
Can I make these baked oats gluten-free?
Yes, simply use gluten-free oats. Make sure any additional ingredients such as baking powder are also certified gluten-free.
Can I meal prep almond croissant baked oats?
Yes. Almond croissant baked oats are great for meal prep. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or air fryer before serving.
Can I eat baked oats cold?
You can eat baked oats cold, but almond croissant baked oats are best served warm so the almond flavour and soft texture really come through.
What jars can you cook almond croissant baked oats in?
I use oven safe glass containers from IKEA. But you can pick these up on Amazon too.
Are air fryer baked oats quicker than oven baked oats?
Yes. Air fryer baked oats usually take 10–15 minutes, compared to 20–25 minutes in the oven, making them perfect for a quick weekday breakfast.
Can I make single-serve baked oats in the air fryer?
Yes, air fryer baked oats are ideal for single servings. Use a small ramekin or oven-safe dish that fits inside your air fryer basket.
