Six Ingredient Slow Cooker OUT NOW 😁
Order nowTip 1
Make your life easier and fill the slow cooker the night before if you have no time the next day. The meat or sauce will marinate overnight, giving an even better flavour. If your slow cooker doesn’t fit in the fridge, simply add the ingredients to a freezer bag and empty it in to your slow cooker in the morning.
Tip 2
When cooking meat, ensure you cut it into strips or chunks all the same size so you get a very even cook.
Tip 3
For recipes that usually require a lot of spice, go slightly easier than usual with the heat – these recipes cook on a low heat for a long time, enhancing the flavour, so the spice levels can go up because of the long cooking duration.
Tip 4
This is such an important one – always add less liquid or stock than you think you need; it is so much easier to add more if required but it’s difficult to take away extra or to thicken larger quantities of liquid.
Tip 5
Cooking times may vary depending on what size or brand of slow cooker you own. Use the cooking times I’ve given you as a guide but keep an eye on it – if something looks dry, add more liquid than I’ve told you to.
