Silicon liners at the bottom of your air fryer drawer are a perfect way to save on mess and washing up time. You can buy these online quite cheaply, you can even get them that fit your particular air fryer drawer.
Tip 2
For anything that has a crispy coating or batter – for example tempura veg or crispy fish – preheat your air fryer to 200∞C for a few minutes. This way, the wet meat, fish or veg hits hot air instantly and you’ll get a much crispier result.
Tip 3
If you’ve got fruit that’s about to go off, put it in the air fryer on the dehydrate setting and you’ll end up with a tasty dried fruit snack which makes a delicious topping for porridge.
Tip 4
If you have leftovers, make use of the reheat setting (don’t re-air fryer them). I find this especially good for leftover pizza. Three minutes on the reheat setting and it’s good as new.
Tip 5
Treat your airfryer as you would your oven – anything ovenproof will be air fryer-proof. You can use ceramics, tin foil, baking paper, skewers all sorts. Just double check the max temp of your ceramics, air fryers will usually reach up to 220∞C.
